Installation of an SFTP client

You will need to have an SFTP client installed on your computer before attempting to use this feature.

Some free ones are:

FileZilla

WinSCP

Warning

Be sure to check with your company IT department before downloading these or any other SFTP clients. They may have security policies in place that prevents the use of unapproved third-party software.

How do I import data for a Matter?

  1. Go to the Matter details page > Imports

  2. Click NEW IMPORT and choose SFTP as your upload method

  3. Copy the credentials provided by Spectra into your SFTP client
    USER ID
    PASSWORD
    CONTAINER URL

  4. Click START SFTP

  5. Once you're finished transferring data in your SFTP client, click COMPLETE TRANSFER to import your files into Spectra

Get new SFTP credentials

To generate new credentials for your SFTP client transfer or to view your current credentials: 

  1. Click SFTP CREDENTIALS in the status bar

  2. Click GET NEW SFTP CREDENTIALS, then copy and paste each one into your client. See Step 3.
