Install IBM Aspera Connect and browser extension
Transferring data requires the IBM Aspera Connect application and the Aspera browser extension. If either is not yet installed, simply follow the instructions on the screen.
Good to know
Be sure to check with your company IT department before installing IBM Aspera Connect or any browser extension. They may have security policies in place that prevents the use of unapproved third-party software. See also Aspera Setup and Configuration.
How do I import data for a Matter?
- Go to the Matter details page > Imports
- Click NEW IMPORT and choose Lighthouse Aspera as your upload method
- Install IBM Aspera Connect and browser extension.
Note: If you already have this installed, skip to Step 6.

Download and install the app

Confirm access. Check 'Remember my choice for this site.' if you want to bypass this step in the future.

Select the files you want to transfer and click Open.

Once your transfer is complete, you can close the progress banner
If the transfer fails, you will get an error message in the progress banner. You can try to import your files again or contact Spectra Support.
