Delete a Matter

Deleting a matter is permanent and cannot be undone and the associated data cannot be retrieved. Download any data reports or exports you wish to preserve prior to deleting a matter. 

If you need source data returned from Lighthouse, or an export of your database to allow for later restoration, please contact Spectra Support prior to conducting deletion.

Delete the matter

  1. Go to the Matter Details page


  2. Go to MATTER SETTINGS and click DELETE MATTER

  3. If you haven't already done so, click CANCEL and download any data reports and Exports or

    Click NEXT to continue

  4. Read the Purge Agreement to authorize Lighthouse to permanently delete all data related to this matter. 
  5. Check the box to accept and click DELETE

If any jobs are actively running on the matter, you will need to wait until they are complete to attempt deletion again.

Contact Spectra Support with questions or if instructed to do so.

Once the matter is deleted, you'll receive an email containing a copy of the master processing report.
