EmailSmart for Relativity Structured Analytics

When Relativity Structured Analytics is installed for your Matter, the proprietary Lighthouse EmailSmart process is also available for reviews based on email threading. This process identifies unique/inclusive emails with or without lesser-included emails for batching and review optimization (depending on whether an email suppression workflow is enabled). This process also incorporates the results from the near-duplicate analysis for families and standalone documents that could not be analyzed as part of the email threading set, which helps to further organize the review.
This article provides information on how to use the results of the EmailSmart process in your review. If you do not want to use the results of the EmailSmart process for your review, the Structured Analytics fields in Relativity remain available (see Relativity Structured Analytics Fields).
Fields
| EmailSmart_RA_Batching | A relational field that organizes document families first by email thread and then near duplicate values, which can be used for batching. This includes documents whose family members went through Relativity Structured Analytics but do not themselves have values. |
| EmailSmart_RA_Inclusion | A relational field that identifies documents for suppression. The script populates a value for top-level threads, and then those without a value in that field are considered lesser-included threads and are eligible for suppression. When populated, the values match those in EmailSmart_RA_Batching and can be used for batching only the non-suppressed documents. |
| EmailSmart_RA_Sorting | A fixed-length text field containing the contents of the EmailSmart_RA_Batching field. The sort order for email thread groups and remaining documents by Near Dupe sets are added to the end of this field. This field can be used for sorting batch views and searches. |

How to identify lesser-included emails
In Relativity, create a saved search where EmailSmart_RA_Batching is Set and EmailSmart_RA_Inclusion is Not Set.
The resulting population is the set of non-unique / lesser-included emails.
How to batch for threaded review
After identifying your review population (including whether or not lesser-included emails should be suppressed), you can use the following parameters to sort documents based on email conversations:
- EmailSmart_RA_Sorting ASC
- ReviewID ASC
You can use the EmailSmart_RA_Batching Family Field within your batch set to ensure that all items within a given EmailSmart group are kept together in the same batch.
